I am a wife and mother of two wonderful sons. I live and teach in the same town that my husband and I both grew up in. I am very family oriented and spend most of my time attending activities that my sons are involved in. I am also very active at school both during the school day and at any after school activities. I also teach Sunday School at my church, so my Sunday mornings are always spent at church worshiping with my family. In the past two years, I have also been working toward my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction through the American College of Education. This has been a real struggle at times to find the time to accommodate my families needs, my students' needs, and my personal needs as a college student. With God's grace and a lot of hard work, I plan to finish my degree in May.

I would move each school year to a different grade level based on enrollment numbers. While at Iuka Grade School, I have taught first, second, third, and fifth grade, but have been in second grade for the last thirteen years I have been in second. I would have to say that I do believe that second graders are my favorite!
