While I find satisfaction working with numbers and creating a great Excel file, the real excitement comes from the people side of problem solving and finding solutions. This drive leads me seek opportunities where not only can I impact the financial side of a business, but I can be involved in process development and operations. Material Management Resources Inc. (MMR) and the investment recovery industry allow me to combine my strong organizational skills and my experience with leading people in order to produce quality and dependable service for our clients. Prior to my role as Vice President at MMR, I obtained my bachelor's degree in accounting from The University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business - the #1 ranked accounting program in the nation. There I learned how to produce quality accounting work: organized, precise, and detailed. Out of UT, my professional career began with completing five years at Price Waterhouse, with early promotions from Staff to Senior; my final position there was Audit Manager. The next ten years were spent raising my children and being actively involved as a leader and contributor in numerous community and church organizations. Through these roles, I learned to engage with people of all ages and interests, which prepared me for building trust with customers at MMR. In 2005, I joined MMR, filling the positions of Controller and Chief Financial Officer. All in all, I am working with over 15 years of industry experience, including time with one of the world's top accounting firms.
