I have 11 years of experience teaching science in public schools from grades 6 through 12. I have 4 years of experience with planning lessons, programs and exhibits in the informal educational setting of a children's museum. For three years we went to onsite programs to bring educational programs and traveling exhibits to pre-schools and science nights at elementary schools. For the past year we have been open in our own physical location and I have had the opportunity to continue designing our educational programming,, as well as running our maker space area and leading exhibit maintenance. The combined experience of formal and informal educational settings gives me unique experience and insight on the various places children have opportunities to learn. I am excited to share these experiences and expertise to continue to give kids quality experiences and spaces to learn in a creative and low-pressure environment.
