I worked at the same plant for 20 years and maintained my position as well as been promoted through two parent organization buy outs. I started as an accountant with Electric Energy, Inc. processing invoices and managing cash. From there I moved into subsidiary accounting and further into budget preparation and presentation. Ultimately, I was promoted to Administrative Manager supervising the payroll function, storeroom and records management function and acting as a liaison between plant personnel and the corporate functions of Human Resources, Financial Planning & Analysis, Supply Chain Management, Accounts Payable, and Information Technology. I also manage the contractors for security and cleaning. Having been in the coal power industry for 20 years, I have learned to be flexible, agile and resilient.
