I worked casually within the contaminated land team, assisting to plan and carry out fieldwork activities primarily in the landfill and land development industries, including; groundwater monitoring and soil sampling. I also carried out data analysis and reporting, primarily assisting with Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments.

I planned, carried out and supervised field work activities primarily in the oil and gas, landfill, mining and land development industries, including; groundwater monitoring, soil sampling, drilling supervision, site walkovers and aquifer testing. I carried out data analysis and reporting.  Reporting included independent completion of reports with review from a senior/principle scientist, and working in collaboration with colleagues in completing more complex assessments.

Inspected food premises in accordance with the Australian Food Safety Assessment System to ensure compliance with the Food Act, the Food Safety Standards Code(s) and relevant Australian Standards. Ensured that premises that did not meet legislative requirements were managed effectively. This included issuing notices under the Food Act.Investigated and responded to requests from residents in respect to public health complaints and enquiries. Provided consistent and accurate advice to the community and to internal and external stakeholders. Thorough knowledge of the SA Public Health Act, Food Act, Local Government Act, Environment Protection Act, and associated regulations and codes as required. This position also required strong communication, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
