Working at the head office in Rotherham in the Transport logistics team. I have experience with being a 24hour Duty Officer. I’ve worked different shifts including nights. 8-12 hour shifts. I am a Key holder. Being the initial frontline support. Working within the transport logistics department I support the efficient operation of all transportation within Legershearings group ensuring the day to day operation providing an excellent customer experience whilst remaining in budget. Routing and timing all transport networks. Booking flights. Monitoring total journey times for feeders and tours and advising where action needs to be taken. Ensuring continued company compliance with legal drivers hours requirements. Creating and maintaining relationships with external suppliers including coach operators, taxi/private hire operators, ferry companies and airlines. Operational administration. Working to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Creating new contracts with taxi operators across the UK. Assisting customer relations in investigations. Mentoring new starters.

Planning multi-drop routes for 3.5 and 7.5 tonne vehicles keeping in mind the drivers hours, mileage, running costs and customer requests through the UK. Administration of rescheduled deliveries, KPI’s, and end of day reports. Uploading orders into the planning system and planning. Liaising with Customer Relations, Depo Managers, the distribution centre and drivers. Updating customer details, new delivery addresses and customer requests onto the system instructed my Customer Relations ready to plan for the following day. Ad hoc requests and manning the phones for the drivers for any issues they may have. Debriefing drivers. Downloading tachometer info from both the drivers and vehicles.
