In my conversations, I focus on gathering the information I need to determine whether we can help a prospective client. However, this never comes at the expense of explaining the legal process in an accessible manner or expressing empathy for the prospective client.

I serve as the initial point of contact for prospective clients, and work with the managing attorney to manage the case load. Day to day, I answer phones to field prospective clients by gathering basic and essential details about their case, manage the firm calendar to ensure that we are able to stay on track for all case timelines with several competing priorities; prepare, review, and file cases per their individual timelines; correspond with clients through case preparation and processing; and conduct research in case law, memos published by state and federal agencies, and observations of individual experiences to brief the attorney as is relevant to our practice and clients. In case preparation and processing, I collect the relevant information and documents for a case as determined by the attorney, asking follow-ups and ensuring that we are preparing the strongest possible case. I prepare the forms and case packages for the attorney's review and approval, per practice style. Following case filing, I update the clients at each step with information about where their case is and detailed instructions on what their next steps are. For clerical management of the firm, I have developed tracking tools on Excel that allow us to more easily track trends in immigration case processing depending on various complex factors. I also create the digital and hard-copy case files, and close them out at the end of the case process, ensuring that they are organized in such a way that we can easily archive them, refer back to them as models for future clients, and reach out to the clients for follow up cases, such as removal of conditions, naturalization, extension of status, or work authorization, when they are eligible.

I work collaboratively with the artistic team, production staff, and producing theatre to schedule and manage production meetings, rehearsals, previews and shows. This involves coordinating several competing priorities with stakeholders in the best interest of the production. I develop paperwork for distributing information and tracking progress, which is continuously updated through opening. For rehearsals, tech, and performances, I prepare the space for the planned activity, and ensure all necessary persons are accounted for, and ready to begin at the scheduled time. I track progress of planned tasks and adjust the schedule as necessary, anticipating upcoming needs and ensuring the team is equipped appropriately. This involves collaborating with the director and the production staff to ensure we are able to achieve as much as possible with the resources available. I also work collaboratively with the production manager, director, producing theatre, and any stage crew to ensure we are staffed and equipped for the consistent run of the production, for 3 to 36 shows, depending on the production. During the run of shows, I work with front of house staff and the producing theatre to begin each show as close to on-time as possible, execute the show as set during tech and rehearsal. Following each performance, I manage clean-up, and complete and distribute a report including a summary of the show, including subjective measurements like audience reactions and performer energy levels, as well as data points and any technical or safety issues, with notes for problem resolution.My previous credits have included work with About Face Theatre (I Am My Own Wife, 20th Anniversary Celebration); Silk Road Rising (Through the Elevated Line, Oh My Sweet Land, and others); Commission Theatre Company (Clearing); Noumenoun Dance Ensemble (RISE, NewMoves 2015); Loyola University Chicago (Proof, Inaugural Dance Concert, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, and others)
