As owner and president, I strive to make Arborworks the best tree care company that we can be. In addition to overseeing the financial records and coordinating employees and day-to-day operations, I negotiate our commercial, municipal, and federal contracts. In the past six years, we have procured millions of dollars in commercial contracts and maintained a strong residential base for over four years. With the expansion of commercial clients we now solely work with commercial, municipal, and federal entities. Some of our clients include U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, National Park Service, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the City of Wheaton, Cook County Forest Preserve, the Village of Glen Ellyn, and the Village of Glencoe.

My first year at Marquette involved a variety of responsibilities involving teaching elementary and secondary classes as well as performing secretarial duties in the Academy office. At the end of that school year, I became the full-time Office Manager with duties ranging from administrative tasks, newsletter writing, updating forms and procedures, and meeting the ever-changing demands of a school office.

At Roberts Nursery, I gained invaluable field experience outdoors planting and growing perennials and trees. Designing perennial gardens and choosing appropriate plants for customers' needs, I interacted with customers and worked in the back office making decisions that impacted employees, sales, and company growth. This family business allowed me to learn and develop in the areas of tax laws, HR skills, customer sales, and financial management. Working closely with my dad, I learned practical business skills and was empowered to make decisions that would impact the future of the business.

My secretarial work was part-time during my high school and college years but became more involved once college finished. I organized outreach programs, designed publications, and guided volunteers as they assisted with ministry projects. From 2001-2005 I oversaw the church financial records using Quickbooks Through my work in this field, I became proficient in page layout programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Quickbooks, and church management software.
