I am a small business owner living in the Columbia Gorge managing an eco-friendlly glamping retreat. I'm focused on building a future as a travel designer or trip coordinator. My personal and professional history have brought me to the decision that travel planning is right for me and the knowledge that I'd thrive in a trip designer role. I have a degree in Hospitality Business Management, where my focus was on resort travel and event planning. My work experience is primarily in hotel management and group sales, restaurants, event planning, staging and design and Real Estate. I’ve been interested in traveling for a long as I can remember but my passion for travel was really ignited when I spend a year living and working in Australia and subsequently spent a couple of months backpacking South East Asia on my own. I've been to five continents, twenty countries and twenty-five states. Over the years since I became a seasoned traveler I've drastically altered my approach to travel and come to a place where trip planning is one of my favorite aspects. I research where I want to stay, read travel blogs, search hashtags on Instagram, read best of lists by locals, review attractions and seek out unexpected things to see and do. I write detailed itineraries for every trip I take, and create a Google Map with all the sites, restaurants and attractions I may want to visit so I’m able to visualize what I close to what so that I can better plan my route and itinerary. My attention to detail, love of travel and passion for learning about and seeing the world make me an ideal trip designer.
