My career has been underpinned by a commitment to informing social policy and practice with diverse evidence. Over the past twenty years I have lead teams across academia, public services and consulting, with a consistent focus on empowering children, families and communities in service design and delivery.I am co-founder of Lumenia, a specialised community services consulting firm. Our team prides itself on collaborative work across the sector, with an emphasis on knowledge transfer in all we do. We work across Australian jurisdictions and at a Commonwealth level to inform service design and delivery, shaping this work with diverse evidence and seeking to elevate community voices. Prior to entering professional services consulting, I worked within various Queensland and New South Wales Government Departments, where I was responsible for leading child protection and health research and evaluation teams. I'm a member of the Australian Evaluation Society's New South Wales Organising Committee. I hold a PhD in paediatrics, and have authored both book chapters and numerous peer reviewed publications in the area. In 2015, I was the recipient of a 50th Anniversary Churchill Fellowship to support research in out of home care practices internationally.
