Melissa is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), licensed special education teacher, special education advocate, community educator, disability advocate, and business consultant. Melissa’s mission is to provide effective and empathetic service to our special needs community and is dedicated to ensuring Reset Behavior’s team of providers are executing her mission. Reset Behavior specializes in compassionate care and trauma-informed applied behavior analysis. Melissa specializes in severe and aggressive behavior reduction, family and community training, home and school behavior intervention plans, functional behavior assessments, functional analysis, cognitive behavior therapy, and social emotional instruction. Melissa’s experience and training is with children, teens, and young adults with Emotional Behavior Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Trauma, and other Mental Health Diagnoses. Melissa has worked as a middle school self-contained, special education teacher specializing in students with emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorder, mental health, and trauma. Melissa has also worked as a special education facilitator and interventionist for juvenile justice and behavior schools. Melissa graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and counseling, a master’s degree in special education, and a post-masters in applied behavior analysis.
