I am an experienced school leader with a passion for wellbeing and supporting children with Health Needs. As a leader within Hospital Education since 2018 I have an in-depth knowledge of a wide-range of medical needs and how to support those in a school. I have had the privilege of working within the NHS and education and have learnt from colleagues within multi-disciplinary teams.My advisory work with mainstream and specialist schools has been very rewarding as I have supported children back to education who otherwise would not have been able to attend.In addition, I support colleagues within the local authority, both within SEND and Access and Inclusion regarding supporting students with medical needs.I have delivered the Senior Mental Health Lead training to schools on behalf of the DfE for the last 3 years and was instrumental in the creation of the course for my current school.
