WHO IS "The Liberator"?My genius is trick technique. From talented young amateur dancers to professional acrobats in Cirque de Soleil, I have trained them all.My methodology has been hard earned and even thieved by my competition.I started out as a gymnast - it was my safe place as a teen. I pivoted to coaching gymnastics, developing an ability to create deep relationships with athletes while helping them move beyond limitations.If I heard I can't I'd make it my mission to prove you absolutely can!I soon was offered to work with The Young Canadians as their gymnastics coach and my fate was sealed. I had longed to be a dancer and once I entered that world, I was where I belonged.I combined the grace of dance with the power of gymnastics into a methodology easily incorporating tricks into my dancers’ choreography.While doing so, I worked alongside Brian Foley (creator of ADAPT).He noticed my passion for developing dancers and put me under the mentorship of his Acro expert from Toronto.The dance industry changed with the tv show “Dance Moms” - opening the world to acrobatics in dance choreography. My skills went into high demand - getting hired by studios interested to incorporate acrobatics. Between studio work and the Young Canadians, I was spread thin.I wanted the joy of trick technique to be enjoyed by more dancers.I recognized the need to develop a standardized, simplified, and most importantly safe syllabus for teachers and athletes.I shared my idea with Foley who requested to incorporate my Acro Dance syllabus into his.ADAPT announced the impending release of the Acro syllabus, creating huge buzz. I confided in a colleague what was coming, setting in motion a series of unexpected events that soon had a studio owner thieving my methodology.
