Developed website that offers news service of transplant success stories, current articles of latest breakthrough technologies and developments in the pediatric transplant field and a resource list that families can access for assistance. As a Consumer Reviewer for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), I participated in peer review panels alongside scientists, clinicians, and specialists. My role involved evaluating research applications and providing unique perspectives as a family member of someone affected by the relevant disease or condition. I focused on the potential impact of proposed research, particularly through lay abstracts and impact statements, and contributed to the overall merit assessment and scoring of applications. I ensured that research proposals were clearly described and understandable to non-scientists. My contributions helped generate Summary Statements that included scores and critiques, which informed funding recommendations during programmatic review.

Assisting Registered Nurse Educators in taking patient education material and putting this information in a consumable format for mobile and web applications. Involved in a team that developed the series of “Our Journey with …” applications. These applications educate families on various diagnoses from diabetes to transplant. Developed and loaded mobile application content for both Apple and Android devices. Developed and loaded web applications via Drupal. Lead efforts for auditing and reporting for statistical feedback. Developed a summary report of all application development and presented it to executive-level management.

Maintained, developed and implemented components for Roadmap web application, an executive budget and planning tool. Utilized .NET, ASP, JavaScript, VBScript and HTML as development tools. Used SQL, Excel Writer and SQL Reporting Services for reporting tools. Served as developer, DBA, systems analyst and QA. Supporting updated software throughout the full development life cycle. Utilized ADA to write real-time embedded software for communications protocols. All documentation and software written passed FAA certification.And member of a project team that develops FMS, EPIC and datalink software for business commuter aircraft.
