Teach on Thursday mornings at 9:30am

I taught traditional yoga classes, and a yoga class series that integrated the Mind Body Wisdom process for the David S. Rosenthal Center for Wellness and Health Promotion at Harvard University Health Services.

I taught a 2017 summer yoga series as part of my research for the Mind Body Wisdom process, a process that I developed naturally while working with a private client, and developed for groups during my studies at Harvard Divinity School.

I provided spiritual care and counseling, and an 8-week meditation course to patients and staff. In addition, I researched holistic health care options for patients, and conducted in-person interviews with holistic health care practitioners.

I taught the following courses for academic credit:• World Wisdom Traditions, a religious studies course• The Human Person, a philosophy course• Four different courses in the ISAC program: The Ancient World, The Pre-Modern World, Special Topics: From the Ancient World to the Contemporary World, and The Contemporary World• Special Topics: Yoga, a physical education courseIn addition I taught Yoga for their Health and Wellness Initiative, and for some of their sports teams on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities:• Instructed classes in different formats, including facilitating discussions, giving large lectures to 150+ students, team teaching, and offering online video conferencing/in-person hybrid courses• Presented guest lectures on the roots and benefits of yoga• Developed course content• Developed, designed, and adapted course syllabi• Taught The Ancient World as part of the Connections Project First-Year Experience program, a program designed to orient freshman to the college learning environment• Evaluated student work• Aided with the organization and production of the ISAC program fall festival• Served on the ISAC program committee
