I am currently acting as a recruiter for the Northeast section of the US in an effort build a greater applicant pool for SPIRITUS' next team of Catholic young adult missionaries. I connect with local colleges, young adult groups, and parish/diocesan leadership to recruit 20-29 year olds who are passionate about sharing their faith with children and teens through retreat and youth ministry.I am also working to give the ministry greater exposure on this side of the country via attending conferences and participating in various media opportunities.

As I work towards opening my own Catholic café, Trinity House gave me the opportunity to learn firsthand what goes into the day-to-day as well as the big picture operations of running a successful business in a similar model. -Supervised the overall day-to-day operations of the café including productivity, customer service, and motivation of staff and volunteers during all assigned shifts.-Trained new staff and volunteers to meet company expectations and goals for Barista and Cook roles.-Provided exceptional service by crafting satisfying drinks and food, through interactions with customers while taking and fulfilling orders, and by remaining vigilant on all cleaning and stocking duties.-Collaborated with the Assistant Manager to update work processes and to-do lists, reorganize the bar, kitchen, and service areas for a streamlined and appealing environment, and devise strategic plans to increase sales through marketing, customer interactions, and the addition of exciting seasonal items.Trinity House Café provides warm hospitality and a delicious, moderately-priced menu of coffee, sandwiches, snacks, salads, soups, baked goods, wine and beer as well as a market with lovely faith-inspired gifts and books.

As the Director of Campus Ministry I supervised the department which included an Assistant/Coordinator of Community Outreach, Campus Chaplain, Campus Deacon, and various student workers.In addition to heavily focusing our efforts on promoting the college's mission and values, our department also focused on three additional pillars: spirituality, social justice, and fellowship.Spirituality:-Coordinated daily, weekly and special liturgical celebrations, including the community wide Baccalaureate and Alumni Masses.-Collaborated with various departments to hold prayer services, spiritually based programming, and to support their departments' needs.-Coordinated and facilitated the RCIA program for students or staff desiring to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. This included coordinating with other staff mentors, local area Catholic college staff for our joint ceremony, and with various clergy.-Lead and trained students to lead Confirmation retreats for local parishes.Social Justice:-I planned and facilitated 8 Alternative Break Service Trips. This included booking service site, housing, and travel details, recruiting student and staff participants, training student leaders, facilitating meetings/reflections, managing budgets and fundraisers, etc.-I supported and assisted our Coordinator of Community Outreach's efforts to provide weekly and one time service projects and to reach out to local organizations to increase collaboration and build lasting relationships within the community.Fellowship:-Hosted monthly Family Suppers following our Sunday evening Mass as a way to foster community, connection, and joy.-How To Wednesday programs acted as a weekly opportunity to be visible and engage with students during lunch every week.I also advised two clubs and served on the college’s Mission Committee, Institutional Equity Action Committee, Programming & Partnerships Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and the President’s Cabinet.

I assisted the Director of Campus Ministry in supervising all Campus Ministry activities. The community service oriented activities include coordinating weekly service projects and alternative break trips, facilitating larger community volunteer service programs, and reaching out to local organizations to increase the number of available service opportunities.I organized programming activities conducive to student development that include spiritual, academic, and social dimensions (i.e. Weekend and Day Retreats, and Days of Recollection), while always serving as a resource for all students. My role also included assisting in the coordination of daily, weekly and special student activities and liturgical celebrations, including the community wide Masses.

I worked alongside the Executive Director of the US Office in managing and implementing the organization's multi-channel communications plan. This included evaluating and maintaining current materials and platforms such as the website, social media channels, direct mail, and email communications; developing systems to organize photos, videos, and other content from the field; and creating communication pieces. I also trained and managed an undergraduate, communications intern.Over the one year period of January 2016-December 2016, I helped increase the Facebook following by 282% and the Instagram following by 130%. I returned to SJP High School after my time on SPIRITUS. I continued to work with numerous members of the school staff and cover areas such as on-line communication, social media presence, website content, marketing collateral, marketing research, and the coordination of press releases to local news outlets. I assisted with the planning and implementation of larger Advancement and Admissions office school events. I also acted as the photographer at many of these events and created videos or slideshows with the photos afterwards to be used online and with donors.

SPIRITUS is a group of young adult Catholics who give 9 months to live in community and serve as youth evangelizers around the state of Wisconsin. I was a member of Team 5 along with 13 other young adults. I ran the youth ministry program at Resurrection Parish in Green Bay with three of my teammates. That included leading Faith Formation class for middle schoolers, hosting a Drop In event almost every Friday after school for middle schoolers, a high school and young adult Bible Study, maintaining the Facebook page, various administrative tasks, and simply being a presence at parish events and Masses. I also helped give a portion of the 170 retreats that the entire SPIRITUS Team gave this year. I was mainly a part of the Confirmation retreats. During the retreats we have multiple sessions, each is very unique but always includes a personal witness and a small group meeting. They also include things such as demonstrations, activities, movie clips, meditations, etc. This year we reached approximately 6,000 Catholic youth in grades 2-12.
