Responsible for the development and day-to-day operations of a pilot program designed to support and strengthen the governing boards of nonprofits in San Mateo County. Provided consulting, training and facilitation to members of local boards of directors on governance-related issues including board member roles and responsibilities, recruitment, meeting management, fundraising, and staff/board relations. Supervised staff and consultants. Overall responsibility for managing adventure-based educational program for inner-city teens. Organized and led backpacking, climbing, and canoe trips, supervised and trained staff and oversaw all aspects of safety and operations.
