Stories are the foundation of human existence, for there was always a 'once upon a time' even at the beginning of all things. Stories have shaped our world, taught humanity right from wrong, educated the wise and uplifted the downtrodden. The very existance of stories tells of the human need to communicate with others, to spread information and ideas, and stories allowed the rise of humanities greatest achievements and failures. The evolution of the written word conveys the power of ideas, the power of knoweldge, and the power of the human soul. I love stories. I discovered my love early in life when I was only six years old and decided I wanted to rewrite and draw the story of The Little Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe, and I never truly stopped. I could have been a psychologist (my friends think so at least), but story is a need that runs in my blood. To deny my strories a voice through which to be heard would be to stifle myself and who I am. Perhaps this introduction is dramatic. Perhaps you wish to know about my years of customer service, of my abitities to adapt to unexpected situations, that I am able to anticipate and read a customer's body language without concious thought so their needs are fulfilled. I've spent so many years in the retail world that I've done it all and honestly could be a manager. Perhaps. But no one ever claimed a writer boring, at least, not when the spinning of a good tale was an option. “Fairytales are more than true, not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” ~ G.K. Chesterton
