Maintain an active clinical caseload of adults and youth seeking mental health services. Provide individual and family therapy services utilizing a variety of mental health interventions such as Art Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services being provided.

Responsibilities include providing supervision (clinical and managerial) to a team of approximately 20 direct reports comprised of therapists and life skills clinicians, determine/evaluate evidenced-based curriculum, and program development related to therapeutic content and activities for youth (ages 6 to 18) within the secure residential program. Additional responsibilities include facilitation of formal training to residential staff during new employee orientation, as well as behavioral health care staff within Community Health as a trainer for the Behavioral Health Clinical Institute. Through structured supervision with direct reports, as well as coaching various staff members, training regarding childhood development, family theory, attachment, impact of trauma and building resiliency is consistently provided. Written and verbal communication skills are essential to maintaining positive relationships and open lines of communication with youth’s family and referral sources to address any issues that may arise during a youth’s treatment program. Responsible for tracking qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate outcomes and improve program areas as needed and report out to higher leadership, as well as to use for grant writing. Works closely with other department managers to ensure leadership communication to various department direct reports are consistent and clear across all areas, as well as to develop and improvement program processes. Works to build relationships with other community partners to build positive supports within our programming system to ensure youth have access to a variety of experiences while in our care.

Provided individual, group and family therapy to youth between the ages of 6 and 18 referred by Department of Child Services and/or Probation to a secure residential facility. Utilized an eclectic approach to meet the needs of youth and family while intertwining the following treatment approaches within the art therapy modality as appropriate: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Existential approaches. Additional responsibilities included: developing, writing and monitoring clinical treatment plans, timely therapy session documentation case management services, individual crisis management plans, individualized behavior plans, conducting biopsychosocial clinical intake assessments, and utilizing a variety of assessments.
