A skilled communicator with a background in research and teaching, I seek opportunities to combine my aptitudes for writing, analysis, and working with people. Students describe me as an inspiring, approachable teacher, a skilled facilitator, and dependable knowledge translator. I excel at synthesizing complex ideas, crafting persuasive arguments, and managing tight deadlines. My academic research focused on literary responses to classical political economy; currently, I’m in a research role at Granted Consulting, where I help small and medium-sized businesses in Canada make sense of the ever-changing grant landscape. I’ve also had the opportunity to work on numerous research projects at SFU. I’ve written content, contributed poster and database designs, and designed and managed websites for faculty projects. Twice elected Director of External Relations for the Graduate Student Society, I worked with stakeholders in university administration, staff, government, and other student societies across the country to design, fund, execute, and evaluate advocacy campaigns on affordable housing, voter education, and climate action. More recently, I helped manage communications for an academic conference, and contributed to a Digital Humanities project based on SFU Library's collection of rare Lake District materials.
