Continued development in trade role, including management of fellow professionals. Worked with Information Technology to bring advances to Scoular’s customer relationship maintenance. Notable activities included assistance to Senior Management through transition years at Scoular, including the exit of 3 Profit and Loss centers. Management transitioned to Overland Park and the Indianola office was closed, all during which I managed and protected relationships throughout the process.

Traded Hard Red Winter wheat to domestic flour mills. Originated wheat for Scoular’s export wheat program. Role included both marketing and rail execution of trades via developing customer relationships with origins, destinations and railroads. Through proven results, was promoted to manage my own Profit & Loss Statement.

Provided an opportunity to work with previous Cross-Country Trade group. Extended trade territory. Worked with Senior Management to lead efforts in the purchase of a retiring customer’s grain elevators. That role included coordination with Scoular’s legal and accounting & control departments, the customer’s work force and city government as well as Railroad representation.

Helped develop Scoular's distillers grain trading group for ethanol plants in Kansas and Texas. Duties included marketing, transportation, synchronization with Scoular's accounting and trade systems, along with the introduction of Scoular to new markets.

Traded bulk agricultural products in Central Kansas and Southern Nebraska. Responsible for the marketing of grain as well as logistical execution of trades. Maximized efficiency of grain movement through backhauls and arbitrage. Led the transition of wet gluten and ethanol plant’s marketing to Scoular from a competitor.

Traded the production of ADM's various flour mills. Coordinated the execution of marketing and logistics. Learned the importance of developing relationships along the entire supply chain, from the flour mill's personnel loading millfeed to the end user.
