I hold a Master of Nursing (Clinical Leadership), a Post Graduate Diploma in Acute Care Nursing, a Graduate Certificate in Stomal Therapy Nursing, and completed the Clinical Practice Improvement Course in 2006. I am an Honorary Associate (Clinical Fellow), Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Health, University of Technology, Sydney. I am a Board Member - The Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I have worked in a variety of roles associated with quality, safety and risk management for the past 18 years. I was previously employed as Manager, Quality Systems, HNE LHD. Prior to this I was employed as Quality Manager, Clinical Practice Improvement at St Vincent's Health Network, Sydney. In 2009 I was the Senior Policy Analyst – Clinical Risk, Quality and Safety (NSW Health) and worked on the Between the Flags and the Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) Programs. Since 2016, I have been employed as Executive Director Clinical Governance at HNE LHD and am responsible for establishing, directing and managing the LHD Clinical Governance to promote and support patient safety and clinical excellence within our Health Services. I enjoy working collaboratively with the executive, managers and clinicians to improve patient safety, practice and patient outcomes.
