Develop, create, and produce films & videos about the looming employability gap in the United States.At WorkingNation, we believe it is the shared responsibility of corporations, non-profits, traditional and non-traditional educators, and local government to develop new methods to train and prepare the American workforce. And it all starts in the classroom.   But we are living in a time when conventional education models are becoming less and less relevant as the American working class’s need for adaptive learning continues to rise. Traditional college and high school programs struggle to teach the necessary skills that students will need as they enter a rapidly evolving job market, while the disconnect between employers and educators continues to grow. According to a 2014 study by online newspaper Inside Higher Ed, 96% of chief academic officers felt that their educators were doing a good job. Compare that to a 2016 Gallup survey which found 14% of Americans and only 11% of business leaders strongly agreed that graduates possess the necessary skills and competencies to succeed in the workplace. We recognize that there are programs in place already doing this work, and we plan to highlight the bold efforts of the individuals behind these pioneering programs through a branded series of mini-documentaries running roughly two-minutes each. At WorkingNation, we will raise the profile of the SOLUTIONS already helping to create a workforce that is FutureProof.
