With more than 20 years’ experience conducting pharmaco-epidemiology and health services research in observational datasets, my interests lie in improving metrics for measuring medication adherence and examining the cause and effect of poor adherence on clinical outcomes in diabetes patients. My expertise includes causal modeling approaches (directed acyclic graphs, quasi-experimental designs, difference-in-difference framework and propensity score weighting). I currently collaborate with a team of clinicians, researchers, analysts and project managers to produce high quality, translational scientific research. Our highly productive team has been the recipient of numerous NIH funded grants; I have co-authored > 40 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and served as lead author on three.
