Hi everyone. I am an Occupational Therapist with over 23 years of experience and I operate a private practice in Melbourne. I provide services to people with a range of disabilities and health conditions. I have a special interest in working with people with complex needs where customised, individualised solutions are required. I enjoy working with and have extensive experience in working with people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Neurological conditions. I also provide services to adolescent and adult clients with a range of conditions including Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Behavioural difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorders. My aim is to assist people and their respective families, to overcome difficulties and be able to achieve individualised goals. I am a registered provider with NDIS, TAC, WorkSafe and Medicare, although working primarily with NDIS participants. I have a sound understanding of the NDIS system and processes. I work with people who have a wide range of difficulties including physical, cognitive, behavioural, functional and sensory impairments and people with mental health concerns. I provide a range of OT services including: independent living skills assessments, functional capacity assessments, care and support needs assessment, sensory assessments, assistive technology prescription (including wheelchair prescription and all disability related equipment), home assessments and home modification prescription. I also work with NDIS participants to identify their accommodation and support needs and to write Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) reports and reports to enable participants to move to alternative accommodations where their support and care needs can be met.Respecting people, working collaboratively together to achieve goals and optimising independence and quality of life is what I value in my work. My private practice is based in Eastern Metropolitan Melbourne and I have a consulting room available on request. I often travel to provide services in the context of my client's home and their local communities.I am an AHPRA registered OT, a member of OT Australia and a member of ARATA (Australian Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Association).
