I am an emotionally and relationally intelligent, master’s-prepared, certified nurse practitioner with experience in trauma. I have further experience as a registered nurse in emergency care and cardiovascular services. I have served in a variety of positions including nurse practitioner, nurse manager, resource nurse, and preceptor. Currently, I work as a nurse practitioner for Trauma Services and I also utilize my skills as a volunteer on a medical response team. My main interest is to make a difference in the lives of those around me by utilizing my training and my ability to connect with patients, families, and peers. Established Stop the Bleed community outreach program, and subsequently received Values in Action award from employer.2. Established and led committee consisting of physician champion, program manager, quality specialist, and data abstractor to evaluate and improve patient care within trauma department.3. Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team in determining gaps related to handling of patient belongings. Identified areas for improvement, and assisted with writing and implementation of new house-wide policy.4. Underwent Peer Support training in order to support colleagues in processing topics including mental health, crisis/trauma debriefings and confidential concerns regarding patient care.
