About Melissa Pugibet
Hello ! Welcome here ! Thank you for your visit... My name is Mélissa. I graduated from the Purpan School of Agronomy in France, specialising in agriculture and sustainable development. I am fascinated by agro-ecology and the different ways of producing our food in a more responsible way. I like to understand the reasons that lead farmers to work the way they do... I have finished my apprenticeship. Now, I would like to take part in regenerative agriculture or ecosystem restoration projects. I am convinced that we need to build bridges between agriculture and ecology to face the climate challenges of tomorrow.

Apprenticeship Environment/ Csr (Corporate Societal Responsability)
- I couldn't imagine myself working on a computer all day. - I couldn't imagine myself working for such a large company. - I couldn't imagine myself taking a job that wasn't directly related to the implementation of concrete agroecological actions. However.... I still chose HM.CLAUSE, because I wanted to broaden my perspective and go beyond what I thought I knew. I learned that the most important thing is not the job you have, but what you want to learn from it. So what were my assignments? The position was in the "health and safety environment department" of human resources. Yes, this has little to do with my agronomy studies.... I analyzed data and led a working group on waste management and recovery. I mainly investigated actions that could be implemented to reinforce the environmental pillar of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy of HM.CLAUSE. For this purpose, I conducted interviews in the departments and subsidiaries and did bibliographic research. These interviews made me feel how the same question can be approached from very different perspectives. They were the light that illuminated my internship. This experience made me grow personally and professionally. But it also reinforced my desire to do a job that is in line with what makes sense for me.
Research Internship In An Agro-Ecology Lab
I was lucky enough to do this internship as a continuation of my experience in Sweden. I could talk about it on a much larger space than LinkedIn allows but it is not the subject here. At ISARA, one of Purpan's partner schools, I investigated the performance of various crops grown in organic and conventional agriculture. I learned how to collect and analyze scientific data on a perennial cereal, kernza. On ? Kernza. You are welcome to have a look on google. I really like this plant, it is very interesting in an agroecological transition perspective. But I digress again. Let's say to conclude that I was able to strengthen my ability to work in a team in a professional context.
Internship On An Experimental Organic Farm With Agro-Ecology And Agroforestry In Sweden
You saw it in the title. Agroecology, agroforestry, mixed farming and an experience abroad. These four months have greatly influenced my professional project. I discovered a wide range of virtuous agricultural practices for the environment (perennial plants, biocontrol, crop associations...). I was able to consolidate my linguistic and relational skills through contact with different cultures. I was even introduced to the driving and maintenance of agricultural machinery. It was during this internship that I started to do research on the perspectives offered by perennial plants for a more sustainable agriculture. This research led me to ISARA in Lyon afterwards. My time in Sweden was particularly significant for me. I grew up a lot there, and I would have liked to stay. But I came back. And I picked up my student life where I had left it! I don't regret it: I simply came back enriched with different perspectives....
Internship On A Conventional Farm In France
This was my first internship as an engineering student. The school assigned us to a farm ideally located more than 200km away from our home. Why? To strengthen our autonomy and our understanding of the agricultural world. I assure you that it worked really well. I participated for three months in the farm's plant and animal production activities. I helped pack and sell farm products in a hygienic way. I was regularly in contact with customers or visitors. Immersed in a family of farmers, I was able to understand the reality of their daily life. I saw how we produce, but I mostly wondered how we could produce differently.
Internship/ Summer Work In A Wildlife Parc In Spain
I was 16 years old and still in high school. I had chosen a course of study where it was possible to do an internship between the first and the last year of high school. This was my first long internship, which led directly to a summer job. I did nature animation in a wildlife park in the Spanish Valle de Aran. I slept in my father's van in a campsite in the middle of the mountains. I was already working on strengthening my ability to adapt to the great outdoors.... I was able to raise awareness about the preservation of biodiversity and the environment. Isn't it satisfying to allow visitors to feed marmots directly by hand? Note : I have never seen anyone lose fingers.
