I am hard working, innovative and creative. I enjoy solving problems that others deem unsolvable. I returned to school after a 20 year hiatus to finish my Bachelor's degree. While in school, I was on either the President's list or the Dean's list every semester besides working full time and taking care of my family.In November 2014, I graduated Kaplan University MS in Homeland Security and Emergency ManagementI have worked with many different organizations to provide a unified message of emergency preparedness. With associates at National Weather Service, Red Cross and local EM, a nationally recognized preparedness project was developed. This was used to teach everyone from children to senior citizens. It was also used by TV stations in two different major markets during their Severe Weather Awareness week presentations with unmatched success. I have also collaborated with local and national presenters to provide training at national as well as state conferences in the area of disaster preparedness.I also have spent 30+ years in EMS as an EMT, Paramedic, Instructor and Examiner. I have worked with multiple agencies as an FTO, Continuing Education coordinator, Senior Medic, and Preceptor. The services I have worked for were both primary 911 response as well as non emergency transports of critical patients.
