I had a wonderful sixteen year career in insurance; both as an agent and in management. During that time I was the highest sales producer four consecutive years as an agent, and successfully trained and careered the most agent recruits as a performance manager. My ability to identify at risk clients helped improve retention rates by over 35% both in my agency and again in the district I had the pleasure of assisting manage. My love for contract law won out in the end though, so I am now finishing a degree I started many years ago while moonlighting as a bartender at night. I enjoy the public and and the fast pace environment though. I’ve also been given the opportunity to manage the bar, which has allowed me to market, inventory, oversee loss prevention, dictate and transcribe all corporate communications, handle bookkeeping and negotiation with vendors. I would like to return to a normal schedule job within a company that my years of experience can both be utilized and further the success of the team and institution. I am at a point where my final studies can be completed remotely, which allows me the freedom to once again return to the workforce I know and love. Anything that is challenging and requires a high level of critical thinking motivates me. I don’t believe in participation awards, you either win or die trying.
