I have over 25 years experience in the accounting field. Over the years their have been many different industries, but I feel that their are still a few that I would like to try. I am someone who enjoys learning new skills and computer software and believe that I have a real knack for absorbing things quickly. I am really excited at the thought of taking my career on a new journey. In the early 90's I was a co-owner of an auto repair shop and performed all the accounting functions; and for those of you that are fairly young, they were done with actually ledgers and not a computer. If you need to look that up, feel free! Thought I would add an element of humor. Using computer software and Microsoft office products is such a wonderful development in the realm of accounting. People that have graduated from college within the past 20 years don't realize how this has changed the difference in what we are capable of in the ways of analyzing data. Its amazing. I have experience with training and supervising others and have always been told that I do it very well. My philosophy is you must build people up and you will see the results in their performance. Keeping in mind that everyone is different, with strengths and weaknesses is the most important thing when setting expectations. In my career I have come across so many different personalities and cultures .So many things have to be thought of when dealing with people that you work with, either as a supervisor or working on team. Dynamics in the office environment is key to any company being successful. I have even explored some career opportunities that involve traveling. I think this is an experience that is very appealing for me. My children are grown and I now have the opportunity to do some traveling in an occupational capacity. On a personal note: I come from a big Italian family, I love animals and I play clarinet and Tenor Saxophone.
