I currently teach high school English and Creative Writing at Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Before this, I taught middle school English, Yearbook, and Academic Seminar at Tabb Middle School in Yorktown, Virginia from 2019-2022. During the 2018-2019 school year, I taught 6th grade Science and Language Arts at Erik Ramstad Middle School in Minot, North Dakota. Prior to that I taught 3rd grade for three years at Dakota Elementary on Minot AFB, North Dakota. I have been recognized my whole life by family and friends as being someone who cares about children. I feel my personal experience as a mother of three and military spouse, in addition to my professional experience in working with children of all ages, greatly influenced my decision to obtain a Masters of Education. Doing this was the best decision I have made career-wise as I have “found my calling.” Throughout my education and professional career I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and professionals. Because of this I have become accomplished at designing creative and rigorous lesson plans that accommodate varied learning styles, utilize hands-on learning, develops critical thinking skills, and keeps students engaged and focused. My greatest strengths include classroom management, creative and innovative thinking, reflective teaching, and a passion to inspire and motivate my students.
