I marketed our many in-house venues so well with so many unique strategies that we reached record numbers and profits across the board, even through some of the worst times for island hospitality, including the year of a horribly bad red tide, Covid19 pandemic, and Hurricane Ian). Handles all media/PR contact; creates all advertising (digital/print); continually grows our ever-expanding guest list for return marketing; maximizes social media to continually, successfully grow online audience; designs all in-house material; provides professional photography/videography; runs social media through several platforms daily (each venue at the hotel has its own following and demographic, so each has its own identity online; runs our merchandising, both online and local (inventory, online listings, personally gift-wraps/ships each order); maintain our venues’ websites and design; assisting anywhere I can, to ensure our business is successful with happy guests, patrons and customers. Since Hurricane Ian, the family-owned hotel group kept about 1/20th of their staff on payroll as we continued cleanup and the extensive rebuild; I was one of those very few. In that time, I’ve continued marketing to our many followers, keeping them engaged and grow our following for when we were able to reopen, to allow a much smoother transition. Also run the very successful marketing campaign with our “Lani Kai Strong” merchandising, which, for nearly a year after the storm, was our ONLY means of revenue coming into the business. Integral part of the interior redesign team, including two restaurants, lobby, front desk and guestrooms. Personally designed much of the custom furniture and worked directly with the vendors. A part of my long tenure with Breeze Newspapers, I designed and edited multiple monthly lifestyles magazines for the company, providing high-end, sophisticated products that are not only unique, but entertaining and community oriented, individually mailed to thousands of gated residences every month.

Designing and creating an entertainment newspaper, start to finish, from taking the photos, writing the stories and covering events to creating artwork and building the publication. Just a cool job to share, I was honored to run the marketing for a local/regional rock band based out of Southwest Florida. We traveled all around the state, performing multiple venues weekly (mainly over the weekends, which allowed me to continue my work as graphic designer at my full-time job the rest of the week). If I wasn't on the road traveling with my "band family," I was in the music studio designing the unique album artwork for each of their CDs, building press kits and helping land… Show more Just a cool job to share, I was honored to run the marketing for a local/regional rock band based out of Southwest Florida. When we were on the road, I'd personally and very successfully sell the merchandise with a very unique strategy, as well as organize and run several city-wide street teams around the state of Florida – the epitome of grass-roots marketing. This band was well on its way to go from "regional" to "national," backed by many big-name industry professionals, including Rickey Medlocke (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Ted Nugent and Kid Rock, but unfortunately one of the musicians let his girlfriend get in the way, and the fall of the rock band empire took place (all too common). I then refocused my energy back to my graphic design roots for a few years before jumping back into the marketing arena where I really thrive. Show less
