Is a junior, secondary education and history major from Colonia, NJ. She is also pursuing the Seton Hall certificate in information technologies. With her education, she hopes to obtain a career in the educational field as a high school or middle school Social Studies teacher. Within the past year she has completed two field experiences in Summit Middle School where she tutored two eighth grade boys with learning disabilities once a week. This spring semester she will complete her first student teaching at Liberty Middle School in West Orange where she will be working with an eighth grade social studies class. Her work experience has provided her with valuable tools to assist her in her career. During the summer she works as a counselor at Camp Kiddie Keep Well, a sleep away camp for underprivileged youth living in Middlesex County. She also volunteers at the same camp, for one weekend a month during the year for their senior citizen program. She maintains a second job during school at accounting firm, Citrin Cooperman & Company as an administrative assistant responsible for basic administrative duties. Born to Portuguese immigrants, she is also a first generation American and speaks fluent Portuguese. On her spare time she enjoys taking photographs of friends and family and aspires to become a more skilled photographer.Specialties: My concentration is in American History and in Woman's History.
