The Paravastu Lab studies the conformation of β-Amyloid peptides using molecular modeling, peptide synthesis, NMR, and radical footprinting techniques in an effort to increase the understanding of Alzheimer’s Disease. • Perform solid-state Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) experiments on amino acids of β-Amyloid• Produce instruction documentation on how to execute NMR experiments and how to process 1-dimensional NMR data in Bruker TopSpin software• Lead literature review on β-Amyloid oligomer formation and truncated β-Amyloid tertiary structure
