In the fall of 2007 I became a Multimedia Producer. I worked mainly on breaking news videos until we started shooting daily newscasts. As the years have gone on we add more studio shows and the Post-Gazette photographers have learned how to shoot and edit their own video.- Publishing video, photo galleries and audio online in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette e-editions and website and creating photo puzzle game for NewsSlide app.- Editing raw breaking news video in a critical paced manner meeting daily deadlines.- Training co-workers on creation of videos, photo galleries and NewsSlide puzzles.- Scheduling photographers, creating assignments for existing stories and feature art.- Currently running in house studio my responsibilities include video producer/editor of studio shows, breaking news video.- Multitasking with other departments, helping out coworkers in need by creating photo and video galleries, editing audio and other on projects.- Helping lead team by scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes to streamline process from idea to completion.

I started out at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in the sports department in March of 2000 as a clerk that was responsible for all things clerical, phones, lists, letters to the editor, etc. I was in that position for eight months before being promoted to the web site.I spent three years posting stories, pictures and audio to the web site before I was again promoted back to the sport department, this time as a copy editor / page designer.I spent three more years doing that before moving back to the web site once again. This time I was responsible for updating/creating the homepage at night. I posted stories, edited audio and whatever else needed done to updated the keep the web site current.
