Current• Implemented new collections and statement process, bringing in an Early Out vendor to increase patient satisfaction, as well as decrease workload of staff, allowing them to focus on other duties. Continually monitor reporting to ensure proper processing of accounts. Address and resolve any related issues. • Successfully managed transition in corporate ownership, which involved complex system and process changes. Actively oversee process changes, consistent reporting requests, as well as data analysis on behalf of corporate, due to their lack of access into our current systems. • Work closely with Meditech consultant to resolve issues, create new reports, adjust processes, and add/edit reimbursement rates.• Repeatedly deal with short-staffing due to having a lean revenue cycle team, staff on PTO (including extended leave), and staff turnover. • Effectively navigated through COVID-related challenges involving the mandated shutdown of all elective surgeries. Worked through creative processes to ensure my staff maintained work and a consistent paycheck during the shutdown. Oversaw new post-COVID protocols, such as remote work setups and schedules, as well as back-logged volume demands. • Regularly take patient calls, provide patient estimates, verify insurance benefits and authorizations, use payer portals, communicate with physician staff and insurance companies. • Review, research, and resolve denied codes, claims, and other billing issues. Identify physician documentation opportunities and bring forth recommendations to facility leadership.• Manage the administration of personnel, including interviewing, hiring, evaluating, counseling, and coaching all revenue cycle employees.
