Originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, I came to Vancouver in August of 2008 and fell in love with the city immediately. I become a student at Langara College in the fall of 2009 and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing along with a Financial Management Diploma in June of 2014. During my last year as a student, I had the amazing opportunity to participate in the Board of Trade's Leaders of Tomorrow mentor ship program. This experience was invaluable to my transition from student to professional and I highly recommend it to anyone who has this opportunity.Immediately after graduation, I landed a job with Vancity Savings Credit Union and have been with the organization since June 2014. In my time there, I have taken on several roles including Member Services Representative taking inbound calls in the contact center, Campaigns Agent making outbound calls for new member onboarding, investment renewals, and member communications, Senior Campaigns Agent providing advice, guidance and training to my team, Member Service Advisor I offering tailored credit solutions to members, a Quality Assurance Tester helping to prepare and implement a new contact center platform, Operations Anaylst providing reporting and business insights, as well as being a platform expert. Most recently I have taken on the role of Senior Operations Analyst where I am able to provide robust data analytics, offer valuable insights through reporting and data visualization, as well as offer guidance and training for my team and business users. Going forward, I am focusing on data analytics, database management, and gaining a better understanding of the various programs and applications available to provide the business with a deeper understanding of the operations and offere valuable insights on ways to improve efficiencies and productivity. Starting the the fall of 2016, I began a Database Administration and Design Certificate through BCIT and will complete the Data Analytics Certificate subsequently. Both of these certifications will help support my career goal in becoming a better data and business analyst for systems improvement and design.
