Review the schedule a week out to see what we can bill to medical, Do eligibility checks & obtain prior auth for services that require it, Submit Claims manually, Follow up on denials, Enter Checks, Check Claim Status, Assist with the Medical Billing Courses we have here on site, Answer e-mail questions after the course, currently getting ready to assist other dental offices with medical billing with our 3 Month Basic Medical Billing Assistance program. Looking forward to teaching on my own " Advanced Medical Billing Courses" for more advanced help with medical billing after the attendees attend to the first Medical Billing Course. Submit Electronic Claims Daily, correct invalids & rejections for claims that bounce back from the clearinghouse that needs either more and or correct information on the claims before submission. Enter in all checks, Insurance A/R, Credentialing / Contracting, Negotiating Rates.

I worked out of the Billing Office in Cary, NC, but CITYMD is located in NY they have several Urgent Care Sites, My responsibilities were to Manually enter Claims, submit batches of claims, would bill up to 540 + claims a day. After we merged with another company we switched software so all claims were created electronically through the doctor through out the day. I was in charge of staying behind on the old software and to take care of the several sites that needed to still be manually billed. I created a Dashboard to report the progress and shared it with the managers so that they could follow the progress of completion. After I completed all the remaining medical billing and all 960 rejections i was moved into a Team Lead position for Project Management work. There I assisted and directed my team and doing small projects while they ironed out the kinks with the new software. The company closed their doors and closed the billing office in Sept. 2014!
