In 2000 we were known as 1800WineShop.com and closed a Series A round of funding from SandHill Capital and private investors. In 2002 the company was renamed WineShopAtHome.com and pivoted to a direct selling model. Series B funding round included E&J Gallo. The company was acquired in 2008 by lead investors.• Experience raising funding through outside investors and private equity.• First in the wine industry to launch a social direct selling model and competed with 1-800-Flowers for gifting business. • Created the company brand and messaging with an emphasis on bringing the wine country experience to homes across the country.• Grew business to 4000 independent representatives serving 35,000 customers, resulting in more than 1.5 million bottles of wine sold. • Launched a monthly VIP membership program with over 8,000 customers generating a significant revenue stream for the company. • Dynamic keynote presenter and executive trainer • Instrumental in developing the sales commission and incentive programs, as well as operating budgets and projections.• Executed add-on revenue-generating programs such as personalized labels and corporate gifting.
