About Melissa Blair

My passion for sales and marketing started very early. I was born in rural Wisconsin and was the product of entrepreneurial parents. I learned that though sales are the lifeblood of any business, I never saw myself as a sales person. At 20 years old, I attended my first sales training course and came to understand that being a professional sales person meant that you get paid to help people solve problems. That resonated with me so much that I founded and managed the sales consulting firm, Sales Concepts, Inc. for 11 years.In 2006, I entered the world of Industrial Automation. Here, I have found a way to blend my love of sales & marketing with my passion for helping companies grow. I learned so much during this time and made lifelong friends during the process. But...I had been running Cultivating Sales as a side hustle since 2005. After turning 55 in November of 2016, I made a conscious decision to dedicate myself to it full time.
