About Melissa Canet, Mba

So who am I, and what do I do? My professional career started over 20 years ago in accounting at a large manufacturing bakery (over 50,000 square feet). Here I saw and participated in the growth of this one location into five. When I completed my undergrad at Cal State University - San Marcos, I moved into sales and managed existing accounts. I successfully built relationships with those accounts and grew them. This change in responsibilities allowed me to see a new side of the business. It also inspired me to go back to school to get my MBA from the University of San Diego (USD) with a concentration in marketing. While attending the USD, I took a brand management class. It was in this class that I found my calling and passion. I saw how branding and brand strategy are so important to businesses and how it truly becomes a North Star. Since graduating I have worked at various agencies on both the east and west coast.
