• Assess relevant training and learning needs analysis for employees and the organisation • To design and deliver L&D strategies, processes and interventions that support World Animal Protection’s ambition to be a high performing organisation; to include initiatives which foster a high performance culture, where valuing learning and continuous improvement are the norm• Design learning and development interventions necessary to meet the training needs of staff, or manage this activity via external providers.• Appoint, quality assure and manage contracts with external trainers, facilitators, coaches, mentors and training providers• Organise training venues, logistics, transport, accommodation as required, to achieve efficient training attendance and delivery• Monitor evaluate and develop the training, learning and development interventions provided at World Animal Protection• Develop self and maintain up-to-date knowledge in relevant fields• Manage the global L&D budget

Meeting strategic objectives for World Animal Protection (China) as set out in the global strategic map and associated strategies related to programmes to improve animal welfare and develop World Animal Protection as a robust global organisation.To directly contribute to all of World Animal Protection's strategic planning with a particular focus on how those strategies develop in the region. To promote a commitment to a collaborative organisation by ensuring the country works within agreed/delegated global policy and operational frameworks - related to all aspects of World Animal Protection's work and its effectiveness Collaboration with strategic campaign leaders and their teams in the development of the strategy for World Animal Protection's animal welfare programmes Working in line with agreed strategies, to liaise with government authorities, key stakeholders and media in the countryTo lead and develop China office staffTo be spokesperson for World Animal Protection in ChinaTo ensure World Animal Protection operation in China is legally compliant and adopts a due diligence approach to its work Budget and Financial Management: to manage the preparation of annual budgets, ensure that finance strategy is being adhered to and finance systems are in place, oversee monthly financial reporting and annual audit, monitors cash flow and ensures expenses do not exceed budgets
