As Production Stage Manager, I meet regularly throughout the year with other leadership to discuss general company technical issues and to plan six elaborate, week-long, summer National Finals events. My responsibilities for those events include:• creating and implementing all technical and stage crew schedules• recommending new creative elements• selecting or recommending staff and providing training as needed• serving as primary point person and main onsite leadership• ensuring labor budgets are not exceeded• directing myriad crews from load-in to load-out (including Starbound tech and stage staff, venuelabor groups, contracted vendor crews, our client's staff and crews, and IATSE technicians)• cuing and calling lengthy Showcase performances involving special effects, dances with internallighting cues, live singers and musicians, projections, and multiple speakers, presentations, andawards ceremonies; frequently these cues require last-minute adjustment and editing due to artistic changes in the program• as the Executive Artistic Director's chief representative at the event, ensuring the creative integrity and branding consistency of the show• designing and approving all lighting looks• serving as communication hub for all event staff groups• planning and leading production meetings• keeping detailed records of the event and distributing notes to each department
