Do you know what social marketing is? No, it's not social media. Social marketing is the application of marketing to deliver changes that benefit people, communities and the planet. Pretty awesome right?!Since switching from commercial to social marketing, I keep people at the center of everything I do. By listening and learning what they need and want, I can create fun and engaging campaigns that have a higher chance of changing people's hearts and minds. When we build programs with people rather than for people, we can generate voluntary behaviour change.Some of the programs I have been part of at Social Marketing @ Griffith have:• Reduced koala deaths from dog attacks by 40%• Stopped 200,000L of leaves from entering ACT waterways• Increased adolescent knowledge about alcohol and drugs and increased their ability to refuse drinkingI identify as a Change Agent. I work hard to co-create a better future for all.
