CPA candidate. Before I was an accountant, I thought I would never want to be an accountant. I took a few accounting courses in high school and during my undergraduate studies which solidified my decision to not pursue a career in accounting. I thought it too structured and boring! I thought, I'll never be able to use my math skills to solve complex problems. So, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems and pursued a career in computer programming. Still, I felt like I wasn't solving problems and missing out on my passion to help others. Thankfully, a good friend of mine gave me an opportunity to join her accounting team. We both took a risk, but I was desperate for a change and motivated. I fell in love with accounting immediately, went back to school to get my Master's degree and here I am today, overseeing a fantastic team of accountants, managers, and controllers and wouldn't change a thing! I love leading and managing people, and I love paving the way to their success. I have diverse clients that keep me on my toes and work for an amazing company with the kind of leadership that ensures you are supported, challenged, and simply cared for.
