Melissa Kaiser has more than 30 years of career experience at significant organizations in the nonprofit sector. With expertise in fundraising, partnership building, and strategic planning, Kaiser has raised over $100 million in capital funds for the organizations she has served in executive leadership positions. She serves on the boards of the Nevada International Women’s Forum, the Association of Children’s Museums in Washington, D.C., and as an officer of the board of RAIR Philly, an environment, art, and industry non-profit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Under her leadership as CEO of DISCOVERY Children's Museum, she has secured three consecutive $250,000 Museums for America grants from IMLS to support a $25M campaign to help the Museum accomplish three key goals: replace and update exhibitions and facilities, increase the endowment and operating reserves, and expand educational programming. Melissa is a well-entrenched civic leader in Las Vegas, Nevada and member of the Vegas Chamber President's Club.
