About Melissa Romano

I currently hold the position of Director of Customer Success within SAP's Digital Supply Chain cloud business.Previously, I served as the Head of Go to Market Strategy in SAP's Intelligent Suite CE&X (Customer Engagement & Experience) division. In that role, my primary focus was to facilitate the expansion of a rapidly growing business and ensure the successful adoption and utilization of SAP's S/4 HANA Cloud, Digital Supply Chain Cloud, and HANA Enterprise Cloud products, while also nurturing long-term customer relationships. Our team of Specialist Customer Success Partners, formerly known as CEEs, played a pivotal role in ensuring our customers had an exceptional experience with SAP Intelligent Suite products.Prior to this, I was responsible for assembling, training, and leading a team of Customer Engagement Executives in SAP's Digital Supply Chain Customer First organization. Together, we revolutionized SAP's approach to customer engagement and support, enhancing the customer experience throughout their entire journey. My journey in the field of Customer Engagement began in 2017 when I became the inaugural SAP Digital Supply Chain CEE, serving supply chain customers worldwide. During this period, I played a critical role in developing and implementing various essential processes, including those related to renewals and upselling, which continue to be employed by the organization at scale today.Before my Customer Engagement roles, I spent four years as a PreSales Solution Engineer at SAP, where I specialized in supply chain planning solutions. My primary responsibilities included delivering value-driven presentations and product demonstrations of SAP's supply chain portfolio, ultimately converting prospective clients into loyal, renewing customers. As an SAP solution engineer, I actively collaborated with both colleagues and customers to design solutions that aligned with industry best practices, meeting their specific business needs.My educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA. During my academic years, I pursued various internships and positions, gaining valuable experience in healthcare, supply chain, and continuous improvement practices.Beyond my professional pursuits, I have a passion for travel, reading, cooking, gardening, and enjoying the great outdoors.
