About Melissa Schmidt

I love making technology work better for people. For the past 20+ years I have helped organizations deepen understanding of their customers, build alignment on customer-centered goals, and create better user experiences for their customers that are also good for the business. I have deep experience leading global research teams that combine qualitative and quantitative insights, and tackling large, cross-team projects that use customer insights to drive business and product strategy.I am a strong believer in the power of cross-functional collaboration and design thinking to increase innovation and alignment and to make work more fun. I have designed and led strategic innovation workshops with customers and colleagues and have taught design thinking to over 300 coworkers as a certified LUMA instructor.
