With over 10 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry, specifically in sales, events & travel, I am passionate about providing exceptional service and experiences to the clients that I serve, using strong organizational skills, creative problem-solving techniques, and excellent interpersonal skills. Following my university degree in Communication Studies at the University of Windsor, I expanded my skill set by completing two college certificates (in Sales from Seneca College and in Event & Meeting Management from George Brown College).With the majority of my career spent in the service industry, I have experience ensuring client needs are satisfied. By taking a creative approach when solving problems, I successfully mitigate complex issues under stressful conditions. Using my strong organizational skills, I ensure that the client’s goals and objectives are kept top of mind throughout the planning process. Keeping well organized & managing time effectively allows me to effortlessly tackle the various aspects of one event or program, while also being able to efficiently serve other clients.Working in a team environment is important to me. Having worked with a variety of people in various teams over the years, as well as, with different clients and suppliers, I have developed excellent interpersonal skills. I have experienced interactions with people of various levels of employment from entry-level staff to C-Suite executives, and have had the opportunity to work with people on an international level. My negotiation skills allow me to successfully work through challenging situations with others by ensuring some level of satisfaction for both parties.After the impact of COVID-19 on the hospitality industry, I decided to pursue a career in skilled trades, enrolling in a pre-apprenticeship program for carpentry at GTTI Skilled Trades Institute. In May 2021 I began working as a General Contractor's assistant which gave me the opportunity to experience various aspects of residential construction first-hand. I am still currently employed in construction.In the spring of 2022 I returned to the hospitality industry on a part-time basis as a freelance Trip Director, increasing my business opportunities by the spring of 2023.
