My career has been dedicated to improving health care for individuals and employers. I worked for a number of years as the lead policy advisor to the Wisconsin State Senate on health policy issues, helping to pass laws and smooth the regulatory path for common sense and pro-consumer changes to the health care system. After leaving the Senate, I went to work in the private sector developing and promoting health care purchasing cooperatives as a model for consumer support and empowerment.
